It was the accepted practice in Babylon 4,000 years ago that for a month after the wedding, the bride’s father would supply his son-in-law with all the mead he could drink. Mead is a honey beer and because their ca lendar was lunar based, this period was called the honey month, which we know today as the honeymoon.

In English pubs, ale is ordered by pints and quarts… So in old England , when customers got unruly, the bartender would yell at them “Mind your pints and quarts, and settle down.” It’s where we get the phrase “mind your P’s and Q’s”

So anyway, Resident Evil 5 came out almost two weeks ago. I was in Las Vegas, Nevada when it came out, so I couldn’t pick it up until I got back on Sunday (even though it came out on Friday). I got the special collector’s edition, which cost $89.99. I also picked up the strategy guide, for $19.99, but I got 20% off since I bought the game and the guide together. Oh, I bought this from GameCrazy, which is attached to the Hollywood Video on Rural Road and University Road. Wow, I have to make this into five hundred words or more and it’s not even at one hundred yet. Anyway, I bought the game, but couldn’t start playing it until just recently. I’ve figured out the game is similar and very different then Resident Evil 4. In this game, you are in Africa and the village people there have gone haywire. They have some type of virus in them which has taken control of them. Chris and Sheva, the main characters that we play as, have to figure out what is going on. Since I am not too far in the game (only on Chapter 2-3), I don’t really know much more about the game. I am actually a little upset because I was stupid enough to go to a message board where this game is discussed, and I saw a spoiler that is really big for the storyline, and now I won’t be shocked when I see it in the game. L Wow, half way there. Right now, I just got out of my Biology class, and all I can think about is going back to play this game. But I can’t. I have to meet with my advisor right now (I am waiting in the waiting room, lol), then I have to go to Calculus class right after this. I have a quiz in this class, and I am really unable to figure out what is going on. Maybe it’s because I signed up for a class that is one hour and forty minutes long. Half hour into the class, I get annoyed and stop paying attention. I have found myself pretty much teaching myself all this calculus stuff. After that, I have work, until close (which is midnight), so I probably won’t be able to play tonight. But the bright side is that I do not have work or school tomorrow! So I get to play all day! I haven’t had anything to eat today since I woke up a little late, and I probably won’t be able to eat anything until I get to work. Oh well, I can’t really do anything about that without affecting my schedule one way or another. I’ve been looking around for a website where I can download video game music, but I can’t seem to find a good one, if anyone knows of any, PLEASE leave me a comment and let me know. Anyway, this is my first blog post, hope it went well. J
